So, this is my signing-off letter!
I’ll be disappearing from the scene as of the 19th February and, as Baby O’Brien is due 18th March, I will be off the radar for some time!
There is no single person replacing me at Devotion but, thanks to prayer and the willingness of individuals to step up to the challenge, most of the work that I currently do is continuing in some form or other.
Sunday Cell is being continued by Susie Price.
Mentoring work at St John’s is being continued through Rev.Candice Marcus.
Cath Williams is heading up a lego club for St Peter’s students who find lunchtimes difficult.
Our project with Marlborough Youth Centre to support unemployed young people - “Ready 4 Change” – is still running, and if you wish to get involved or find out more you can contact Jan Bowra.
The Next Step will not be continuing. There are only a few young people of this age not off at university, and we will be encouraging them to find an existing adult home group for their discipleship and fellowship.
We’d really appreciate your prayers as these transitions happen, and if you’d like to get involved in some way then please do let us know.
Vince Stokes is the Chair of the Devotion Management Team, so if you’ve got any general questions please direct them to him
You can still keep up with all the project is doing via this website or our facebook page (search for Devotion Marlborough).
Love and prayers, Peta xx
